New accommodation in fully equipped apartments with kitchenettes and private bathroom facilities in a unique functionalist villa, part of the New House colony below Wilson Forest in Brno-Žabovřesky. The house was designed by architect Jan Víšek and built in 1928 as a prototype of modern interwar housing, alongside other houses in the colony designed by architects such as Bohuslav Fuchs, Arnošt Wiesner and Jan Kroha. Today, the renovated building offers modern accommodation in three apartments on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, parking on a paved area inside its own fenced property, outdoor seating in the garden, and a terrace on the 4th floor called “sunny spa” in Jan Víšek’s original project. Next to the terrace, guests can also use the original service room newly equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, washing machine and dryer.
The house is located on a quiet street, very close to tram line 1 and the cycling path along the Svratka River connecting the new waterfront near the city centre with the Brno Reservoir, a popular recreation area. Nearby you will also find another architectural landmark, Jurkovič Villa, the Brno Exhibition Centre with a new multifunctional arena under construction, and sports facilities including tennis courts and the Žabiny Brno basketball hall. The house has excellent road access via four-lane roads from the D1 and D2 motorways (Prague, Bratislava) through the Pisárky tunnels and from the north through the Královo Pole tunnel.

The fourth above-ground floor of the house was named “sunny spa” in the original project by architect Jan Víšek. The partially covered terrace with an adjacent service room is oriented so that, in good weather, it receives sunlight from morning to evening, from sunrise to sunset. Its covered outdoor part creates shade that is essential during hot summer days.
The adjacent indoor service room allows guests to prepare coffee or tea, store chilled food and drinks, heat meals, and wash, dry and iron laundry. The terrace is equipped with several seating options and a remote-controlled awning. All spaces on the fourth floor are freely available to apartment guests.
